- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★This is the best "small town" general store in Nova Scotia. You'll find great meats and fresh fish along with Peter's own "made in store" sausage. Charlotte's Lane restaurant in Shelburne serves them on their menu. Peter Swim, the owner, has a great sense of merchandising and bringing in items that you would most likely only find in the city.
